Veracyte is a global diagnostics company focused on cancer care. The company provides high-performing tests to clinicians to aid in diagnostic, prognostic, and predictive treatment decisions, aiming to improve patient outcomes by enabling more individualized approaches based on unique cancer biology. Veracyte operates with two complementary models globally. In the United States, it offers laboratory developed tests (LDTs) through its centralized Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA) certified laboratories in South San Francisco and San Diego, California, supported by cytopathology expertise in Austin, Texas. Outside of the United States, Veracyte provides in vitro diagnostic (IVD) tests to patients via distribution to laboratories and hospitals for local testing. In the U.S., Veracyte currently offers tests for prostate cancer (Decipher Prostate), thyroid cancer (Afirma), breast cancer (Prosigna), and bladder cancer (Decipher Bladder). Its international IVD distribution is currently focused on the Prosigna test, with plans to offer Decipher Prostate as an IVD in the future. The majority of Veracyte's revenue is generated from sales of its Decipher Prostate and Afirma tests.
