Decipher Test Predicts Hormone Therapy Benefit in Prostate Cancer Trial
VCYT sits 55% above its 52-week low of $29.455.
Summary
Veracyte announced that a retrospective analysis of the phase III NRG/RTOG 0815 trial showed its Decipher Prostate test can predict which intermediate-risk prostate cancer patients benefit from adding short-term hormone therapy to radiation. The treatment-by-Decipher interaction for distant metastasis was highly significant (p<0.001), with high-score patients seeing an 8% absolute reduction in distant metastasis at 10 years, while low-score patients (44% of cohort) had no significant benefit. This is the first predictive evidence for Decipher in this setting, extending its use from prognosis to treatment selection. The data will be presented today at ASTRO 2026. This follows the recent $150M acquisition of Convergent Genomics, strengthening Veracyte's urology diagnostics portfolio. The ongoing NRG-GU010 GUIDANCE trial will prospectively validate these findings.
At the time of this announcement, VCYT was trading at $45.60 on NASDAQ in the Life Sciences sector, with a market capitalization of approximately $3.6B. The 52-week trading range was $29.46 to $60.91. This news item was assessed with positive market sentiment and an importance score of 8 out of 10. Source: GlobeNewswire.
