Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (TSMC) manufactures semiconductors as a dedicated foundry. Founded on February 21, 1987, as a joint venture with the R.O.C. government and private investors, TSMC produces semiconductors for customers using their proprietary integrated circuit designs. The company offers a comprehensive range of wafer fabrication processes, including complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) logic, mixed-signal, radio frequency (RF), embedded memory, and bipolar complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (BiCMOS) mixed-signal. TSMC also provides design, mask making, TSMC 3DFabric advanced silicon stacking and packaging services, and testing services. The company serves many of the world's leading semiconductor companies, including fabless semiconductor companies, system companies, and integrated device manufacturers. TSMC's common shares have been listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange since September 5, 1994, and its ADSs on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) since October 8, 1997. The company operates one 150mm wafer fab, six 200mm wafer fabs, nine 300mm wafer fabs, and seven advanced backend fabs. Its principal executive office is located at No. 8, Li-Hsin Road 6, Hsinchu Science Park, Hsinchu, Taiwan, Republic of China.
