CIVISTA BANCSHARES, INC. is an Ohio-based financial holding company that operates primarily through its subsidiary, Civista Bank. The company was organized on February 19, 1987, and had total consolidated assets of $4,336,453 at December 31, 2025. Civista Bank, which the company has owned since 1987, began operating in 1884 as The Citizens National Bank and adopted the name Civista Bank in the first quarter of 2015. Civista Bank provides branch banking services from its main office in Sandusky, Ohio, and through additional branches in numerous Ohio communities including Spencer, Wellington, Norwalk, and Akron, as well as in Indiana communities such as Lawrenceburg, Aurora, and Versailles. The bank also operates loan production offices in Westlake, Ohio, and Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, and a leasing company office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Civista Bank and its wholly owned subsidiaries represented 99.8% of the company's consolidated assets at December 31, 2025. The company also has two other wholly owned subsidiaries. FIRST CITIZENS INVESTMENTS, INC. (FCI), formed in 2007, manages Civista Bank's securities portfolio from its operations in Wilmington, Delaware. CIVISTA LEASING & FINANCING (CLF), formerly Vision Financial Group, Inc., was acquired in the fourth quarter of 2022.
