We are a leading quantum computing company developing full-stack quantum computing solutions for enterprise and government customers globally. We aim to build useful and accessible quantum computers by integrating proprietary photonic quantum hardware with a modality-agnostic software platform. Our hardware platform, demonstrated by the Borealis and Aurora quantum computers, is designed to scale from current networked, modular systems to large-scale fault-tolerant machines with hundreds of thousands of physical qubits and hundreds to thousands of logical qubits. Our software stack, centered on PennyLane, is a widely used quantum application development framework, allowing researchers, developers, and enterprises to program quantum circuits across all major modalities and cloud platforms. Our quantum computing hardware uses light as the medium for computation, known as the photonics modality, to solve problems intractable for classical computing. We believe this approach, using individual photons, offers the most practical and scalable path to universal, fault-tolerant quantum computers, addressing coherence problems in competing matter-based modalities like superconducting, trapped ion, and neutral atom. Our quantum software includes PennyLane, an open-source Quantum Programming Software Development Kit (SDK), enabling commercial and government users to program, write, and store quantum computing applications and algorithms for commercial, research, and training purposes. PennyLane is web-accessible and integrates across modalities and with other quantum computing hardware players. In 2022, our 216-qubit Borealis system achieved quantum supremacy by performing a cloud computation in two minutes that would have taken the world's top 5 classical supercomputer, Fugaku, approximately seven million years.
