Westport Fuel Systems Inc. was founded as Westport Innovations Inc. on March 20, 1995, under the Business Corporation Act (Alberta). The company changed its name to Westport Fuel Systems Inc. in 2016, following a merger with Fuel Systems Solutions Inc. on June 1, 2016.
