Workhorse Group Inc. is a North American manufacturer of medium-duty electric trucks and buses, primarily focused on providing sustainable and cost-effective solutions to the commercial transportation sector. The company designs and manufactures all-electric vehicles, including the technology that optimizes their operation. Workhorse's vehicles are designed for last-mile delivery, medium-duty operations, and a growing range of specialized applications. As an American-based Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), its products are marketed under the Workhorse® and Motiv® brands. Vehicles are assembled in the Union City, IN production facility, or by contract manufacturers, using domestic and globally-sourced components. The all-electric commercial vehicles offer fleet operators benefits such as lower total cost-of-ownership compared to conventional gas/diesel vehicles, improved profitability through lower maintenance costs and reduced fuel expenses, and decreased vehicle emissions and reduced carbon footprint. On December 8, 2025, Workhorse effected a 1-for-12 reverse stock split. On December 15, 2025, the company completed its merger with Motiv Power Systems, Inc., making Motiv an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary. Motiv is a manufacturer of medium duty, zero-emission electric trucks and buses, producing vehicles including step vans, shuttle buses, box trucks and work trucks.
