Verizon Communications Inc. is a holding company that, through its subsidiaries, is a leading global provider of communications, technology, information, and streaming products and services to consumers, businesses, and government entities. The company offers data, video, and voice services and solutions on its networks and platforms, designed to meet customer demand for mobility, reliable network connectivity, and security. Verizon operates through two reportable segments: Verizon Consumer Group (Consumer) and Verizon Business Group (Business). The Consumer segment provides wireless and wireline communication services and products primarily in the United States. Its wireless services are offered under the Verizon brands and through wholesale arrangements across one of the most extensive wireless networks in the U.S. Wireline services are available in 31 U.S. states and Washington D.C. via a 100% fiber-optic network and a traditional copper-based network. The segment also offers fixed wireless access (FWA) broadband using its 5G or 4G LTE networks. In 2025, the Consumer segment generated $106.8 billion in revenues, accounting for approximately 77% of Verizon's consolidated revenues. As of December 31, 2025, Consumer had approximately 116 million wireless retail connections (including FWA), with 83% being postpaid connections. Additionally, it had approximately 11 million total broadband connections (including Fios internet, FWA, and DSL) and approximately 2 million Fios video connections. The Business segment provides wireless and wireline communication services and products, including mobility communication services, FWA and wireline broadband, Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity solutions, advanced communication services, corporate networking solutions, local and long distance voice services, and security and managed network services.
