Vycor Medical, Inc. provides innovative surgical and therapeutic solutions within the medical device industry, operating two distinct business units. Vycor Medical designs, develops, and markets medical devices for neurosurgery. Its key product, the ViewSite Brain Access System ("VBAS"), is a next-generation retraction and access system. Vycor Medical holds ISO 13485:2016 and MDSAP certifications, and VBAS has U.S. FDA 510(k) clearance and CE Marking for Europe (MDD Class III) for brain and spine surgeries, along with regulatory approvals in other international markets. The second business unit, NovaVision, offers non-invasive, computer-based rehabilitation therapies for individuals with vision disorders caused by neurological brain damage, such as from a stroke. The company was formed on June 17, 2005, as Vycor Medical LLC, converted to a Delaware corporation on August 14, 2007, and changed its name to Vycor Medical, Inc. On November 29, 2010, Vycor acquired substantially all assets of NovaVision, Inc., and on January 4, 2012, through its NovaVision subsidiary, acquired all shares of Sight Science Limited.
