Telitacicept Holds Kidney Function Through Two Years in Phase 3 IgAN Trial
VOR has more than doubled off its 52-week low of $6.5.
Summary
Final 104-week TELIGAN data show telitacicept cut the annualized eGFR decline to -0.6 mL/min/1.73 m²/year versus -5.7 for placebo, a 5.1 mL/min/1.73 m²/year difference (p<0.001). Risk of confirmed ≥30% and ≥40% eGFR declines fell 89% and 81%, and no telitacicept patient hit the composite kidney failure endpoint versus five on placebo, two of whom needed dialysis. Proteinuria dropped 60.3% from baseline at Week 104 versus a 0.9% increase on placebo, and the effect held after switching to every-other-week dosing. This is the first hard kidney-function outcome for the asset outside China, where it already has conditional IgAN approval, and it strengthens the case for Vor Bio's ex-Greater China rights as it runs global Phase 3 trials in myasthenia gravis and Sjögren's. The caveat is that RemeGen ran TELIGAN solely in China and Vor Bio has not independently verified the data, so FDA acceptance of the dataset remains the open question.
At the time of this announcement, VOR was trading at $18.94 on NASDAQ in the Life Sciences sector, with a market capitalization of approximately $1.1B. The 52-week trading range was $6.50 to $28.66.
