Value Line, Inc. is a New York corporation formed in 1982 and headquartered in New York City. The company's main business involves creating investment periodicals and their supporting research. It also licenses its copyrights, trademarks, proprietary ranks, and other proprietary information to third parties for use in their managed investment products and other applications. Value Line markets its offerings under brands such as Value Line®, the Value Line logo®, The Value Line Investment Survey®, Smart Research, Smarter Investing™, and The Most Trusted Name in Investment Research®. The name "Value Line" is a registered trademark of the company. As of December 23, 2010, EULAV Asset Management Trust (EAM) was established to provide investment management, distribution, marketing, and administrative services to the Value Line Funds. Value Line holds significant non-voting revenue and profit interests in EAM. The company is the successor to most operations of Arnold Bernhard & Co, Inc. (AB&Co.), which is the controlling shareholder and, as of April 30, 2025, owns 91.74% of Value Line's outstanding common stock. Value Line Publishing LLC (VLP), a wholly-owned entity, offers investment periodicals and related publications covering stocks, mutual funds, ETFs, and options. These periodicals, publications, and services are sold to individual and professional investors, as well as institutions like municipal and university libraries and investment firms.
