Visa is a global leader in digital payments, facilitating secure, reliable, and efficient global commerce and money movement. The company primarily provides transaction processing services, including authorization, clearing, and settlement, connecting consumers, financial institutions (issuing and acquiring), and sellers through a "four-party" model. This model has expanded to include digital banks, digital wallets, various financial technology companies (fintechs), governments, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Visa operates its proprietary advanced transaction processing network, VisaNet, which serves as a single connection point for money movement to multiple endpoints across more than 200 countries and territories. Visa invests in next-generation technologies like generative AI (GenAI), stablecoins, and agentic commerce. During fiscal 2025, Visa or other networks processed 329 billion payments and cash transactions with Visa's brand, averaging 901 million transactions daily. Of these, Visa processed 258 billion transactions. Visa offers a range of Visa-branded payment products, such as credit, debit, prepaid, and cash access programs, which are used by nearly 14,500 financial institutions for individual, business, and government account holders. In fiscal 2025, Visa's total payments and cash volume reached $17 trillion, with nearly 5 billion Visa payment credentials available for use at over 175 million merchant locations worldwide.
