UNIFI INC manufactures and sells innovative recycled and synthetic products made from polyester and nylon. The company primarily supplies these products to other yarn manufacturers, knitters, and weavers, who then produce yarn and/or fabric for various end-use markets including apparel, hosiery, home furnishings, automotive, industrial, and medical. UNIFI's polyester product offerings include partially oriented yarn (POY) and textured, solution and package dyed, twisted, beamed, and draw wound yarns, available in both virgin and recycled varieties. Recycled solutions, derived from pre-consumer and post-consumer waste, encompass plastic bottle flake (Flake), polyester polymer beads (Chip), and staple fiber. Nylon products include virgin or recycled textured, solution dyed, and spandex covered yarns. The company offers a comprehensive range of specialized, value-added, and commodity solutions. Its principal geographic markets are North America, Central America, South America, Asia, and Europe. UNIFI operates direct manufacturing facilities in four countries and participates in a joint venture in the United States. UNIFI has three reportable segments. The Americas Segment manufactures and sells recycled and synthetic textile products primarily to customers in North and Central America, with operations in the U.S., El Salvador, and Colombia. The Brazil Segment manufactures and sells recycled and synthetic textile products primarily to knitters and weavers in Brazil, with a manufacturing location and sales offices in Brazil.
