TreeHouse Foods, Inc. is a leading private brands snacking and beverage manufacturer in North America. The company was incorporated on January 25, 2005, by Dean Foods Company and completed its spin-off on June 27, 2005. Initially, TreeHouse expanded its product offerings by acquiring new businesses and categories. In 2016, TreeHouse purchased the Private Brands business from ConAgra Foods (now Conagra Brands), which was the largest acquisition in its history and nearly doubled the company's size. Following this acquisition, TreeHouse consolidated its manufacturing, distribution, and IT systems, launched a new commercial organization, centralized operations, and optimized its portfolio through divestitures. In 2022, TreeHouse divested a significant portion of its Meal Preparation business to focus its portfolio on higher-growth, higher-margin snacking and beverage categories.
