Most U.S. generic sales are made to retail drug chains, mail order distributors, and wholesalers. Beyond these three segments, Teva's other activities primarily involve selling active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) to third parties, providing certain contract manufacturing services, and an out-licensing platform through its affiliate Medis, which offers a product portfolio to other pharmaceutical companies.
