The company serves customers globally through its operations located in North America. Sypris produces a wide range of manufactured products, often under multi-year, sole-source contracts. Its manufacturing processes frequently involve fabricating or assembling products or subassemblies according to customer specifications. Sypris is organized into two business segments: Sypris Technologies and Sypris Electronics. Sypris Technologies, comprising Sypris Technologies, Inc. and its subsidiaries, generates revenue primarily from selling forged, machined, welded, and heat-treated steel components, mainly for heavy commercial vehicles and high-pressure energy pipeline applications. Sypris Electronics, comprising Sypris Electronics, LLC, generates revenue primarily through circuit card and full "box build" manufacturing, high reliability manufacturing, systems assembly and integration, design for manufacturability, and design to specification work.
