SUI Group Holdings Ltd. is a Minnesota corporation headquartered in Wayzata, Minnesota, focused on a digital asset treasury strategy. The company was originally incorporated as Mill City Ventures III, Ltd. on January 10, 2006. From its inception until December 13, 2012, it operated in the gaming and entertainment industry. In 2013, it became a business development company (BDC) under the Investment Company Act of 1940, operating as such until withdrawing its BDC election on December 27, 2019. Following this, it operated as a publicly traded specialty finance company, providing short-term, non-bank lending solutions primarily to private businesses, micro- and small-cap public companies, and high-net-worth individuals. To avoid regulation under the 1940 Act, the company monitors its holdings to ensure no more than 40% of its total assets consist of "investment securities." In 2025, SUI Group Holdings Ltd. launched an SUI treasury strategy, allocating the principal holding in its treasury reserve on the balance sheet to the native cryptocurrency of the Sui blockchain (SUI). Since launching this digital asset treasury strategy, the company has established the largest publicly traded SUI treasury, supported by an exclusive relationship with the Sui Foundation. On August 26, 2025, the company formally changed its name to Sui Group Holdings Limited and its ticker symbol from "MCVT" to "SUIG."
