On August 11, 2025, the company changed its name from "MicroStrategy Incorporated" to "Strategy Inc". In the first quarter of 2021, the company adopted a corporate strategy of acquiring and holding bitcoin, including with proceeds from capital raising transactions, in conjunction with its Treasury Reserve Policy. Its capital markets strategy generally involves issuing Class A common stock and preferred securities through at-the-market equity offering programs when deemed advantageous. Prior to 2025, the company primarily used proceeds from sales of class A common stock and senior convertible notes to purchase bitcoin.
