The Company is a global producer of potassium nitrate and iodine, and a significant lithium producer. It also produces specialty plant nutrients, iodine derivatives, lithium derivatives, potassium chloride, potassium sulfate, and industrial chemicals, including industrial nitrates and solar salts. Its products are sold in over 100 countries through a worldwide distribution network, with 96.5% of 2025 sales originating outside Chile. The Company's products are primarily sourced from mineral deposits in northern Chile, where it mines and processes caliche ore and brine deposits. The caliche ore in northern Chile contains the world's only known nitrate and iodine deposits and is the largest commercially exploited source of natural nitrates globally. The brine deposits of the Salar de Atacama, located in the Atacama Desert in northern Chile, contain high concentrations of lithium and potassium, as well as significant concentrations of sulfate and boron. From caliche ore, the Company produces nitrate-based products for specialty plant nutrients and industrial applications, along with iodine and iodine derivatives. At the Salar de Atacama, it extracts brines to produce potassium chloride, potassium sulfate, lithium solutions, and bischofite (magnesium chloride). Lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide are produced at a plant near Antofagasta, Chile, using solutions from the Salar de Atacama. Products are categorized into specialty plant nutrients; iodine and its derivatives; lithium and its derivatives; potassium chloride and potassium sulfate; industrial chemicals; and other commodity fertilizers. Specialty plant nutrients are premium fertilizers, with potassium nitrate being the main specialty fertilizer, primarily used in high-value crops via fertigation. Iodine and iodine derivatives are used in medical, agricultural, industrial, and nutrition applications.
