SLR Investment Corp.

SLR Investment Corp. is a Maryland corporation formed in November 2007, operating as a closed-end, externally managed investment company. The company has chosen to be regulated as a business development company (BDC) and intends to qualify annually as a regulated investment company (RIC) for U.S. federal income tax purposes. In February 2010, SLR Investment Corp. completed its initial public offering. The company's investment objective is to generate both current income and capital appreciation. It achieves this by primarily investing in privately held U.S. middle-market companies, which are defined as companies with annual revenues typically between $50 million and $1 billion. These investments primarily take the form of senior secured loans and financing leases, and to a lesser extent, unsecured loans and equity securities.
