Ryerson Holding Corporation

Ryerson Inc. is a materials distribution company operating in North America, China, and Brazil. The company conducts its materials distribution operations in the United States through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Joseph T. Ryerson & Son, Inc. In Canada, operations are managed by its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Ryerson Canada, Inc., and in Mexico by its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Ryerson Metals de Mexico, S. de R.L. de C.V. Beyond North America, Ryerson operates in China through Ryerson China Limited, where it holds a 50% direct ownership and an additional 50% interest through Ryerson Holding Corporation. In Brazil, the company operates through Açofran Aços e Metais Ltda, in which it has held a 50% direct ownership since February 17, 2012. Ryerson, through its predecessor, has been in business since 1842. On October 19, 2007, Ryerson ceased to be a publicly traded company and became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ryerson Holding Corporation, with 100% of Ryerson Holding's capital stock owned by affiliates of Platinum Equity, LLC. The company believes it is one of the largest processors and distributors of metals in North America, measured by sales, serving a diverse customer base from local fabricators to large international original equipment manufacturers.
