George Risk Industries, Inc. (GRI) designs, manufactures, and sells custom computer keyboards, proximity switches, security alarm components and systems, pool access alarms, EZ Duct wire covers, water sensors, electronic switching devices, high security switches, and cable and wire installation tools. The Company's business is primarily divided into two segments. The Security sales division focuses on products for security purposes, accounting for approximately 96.0% of net revenues. These security goods are sold to distributors and alarm dealers/installers, serving approximately 1,000 current customers. Ademco, Inc. (previously ADI) is a significant distributor, representing approximately 38.6% of the Company's security product sales. Anixter, Inc. accounts for another 22.4% of the security division's sales. The Company has a written agreement with Ademco, signed in February 2011, covering product terms, purchasing, payment terms, and other provisions. The keyboard and proximity switch division serves approximately 300 customers. These products are primarily sold to original equipment manufacturers based on their specifications and to distributors of proprietary off-the-shelf keyboards. The Company faces intense competition in both its keyboard/proximity and security/burglar alarm lines, competing on factors such as price, product design, quality, customization, and manufacturing products in the USA.
