Quantum-Si Incorporated is a life sciences company focused on proteomics research. The company's mission is to transform single-molecule analysis and make it accessible to researchers and clinicians by providing access to the proteome, which is the set of proteins expressed within a cell. Founded in 2013, Quantum-Si developed a proprietary, universal, single-molecule detection platform. This platform is applied to proteomics to enable next-generation protein sequencing (NGPS), allowing proteins to be sequenced in a massively parallel fashion rather than one at a time. The platform can also be used for the study of nucleic acids. The company's current platform includes its Platinum® NGPS line of instruments, Platinum Analysis Software, and consumable kits designed for use with the Platinum instruments. In 2021, Quantum-Si introduced its Platinum early access program, involving leading academic centers and key industry partners globally, to expand and develop applications and workflows for the Platinum single-molecule sequencing system. A controlled launch of the Platinum instrument began with order taking in December 2022, followed by a controlled commercial launch in January 2023. A full commercial launch of Platinum commenced in the second quarter of 2024. In January 2025, the company launched its Platinum Pro benchtop sequencer, with first shipments occurring in March 2025.
