The company was formed through a restructuring of ConocoPhillips, which separated its downstream businesses. This separation was completed on April 30, 2012, when ConocoPhillips distributed all shares of Phillips 66 common stock to its shareholders. The Midstream segment provides crude oil and refined petroleum product transportation, terminaling, and storage services, along with natural gas and natural gas liquids (NGL) gathering, processing, transportation, fractionation, storage, and marketing services in the United States. It also exports liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) globally. The Chemicals segment consists of a 50% equity investment in Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC (CPChem), which manufactures and markets petrochemicals and plastics worldwide. The Refining segment refines crude oil and other feedstocks into petroleum products like gasoline and distillates, including aviation fuels. As of December 31, 2025, this segment included 10 refineries in the United States and Europe. The Marketing and Specialties (M&S) segment purchases for resale and markets refined products, primarily in the United States and Europe, and also manufactures and markets base oils and lubricants. The Renewable Fuels segment processes renewable feedstocks into renewable products at the Rodeo Renewable Energy Complex (Rodeo Complex) and the Humber Refinery. This segment also handles global procurement of renewable feedstocks, management of certain regulatory credits, and marketing of renewable fuels. Corporate and Other includes general corporate overhead, interest income, interest expense, research in new technologies, business transformation restructuring costs, an investment in NOVONIX Limited (NOVONIX), and other corporate activities.
