PSBD is a financial services company that primarily lends to and invests in corporate debt securities of companies, including small to large private U.S. companies. Beginning with its taxable year ended December 31, 2020, PSBD elected to be treated as a regulated investment company ("RIC") under Subchapter M of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended. On January 22, 2024, PSBD completed its initial public offering ("IPO"), issuing 5,450,000 shares of common stock, par value $0.001, at a public offering price of $16.45 per share. Its common stock began trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "PSBD" on January 18, 2024. PSBD is externally managed by the Investment Advisor, an investment adviser registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. The Investment Advisor manages day-to-day operations and provides investment advisory, management, and certain administrative services, subject to the supervision of PSBD's Board of Directors. The Investment Advisor is a majority-owned subsidiary of PSCM, a privately-held firm specializing in global alternative investments. PSBD's investment objective is to maximize total return, comprised of current income and capital appreciation.
