ProPhase Labs, Inc. is a diversified biotech, genomics, and consumer products company. It develops and commercializes novel drugs, dietary supplements, compounds, and human genomic testing services. The company offers whole genome sequencing and related services through its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Nebula Genomics, Inc. and DNA Complete, Inc. Its wholly-owned subsidiary, ProPhase BioPharma, Inc., focuses on the licensing, development, and commercialization of novel drugs, dietary supplements, and compounds. ProPhase Labs also develops and markets dietary supplements under the TK Supplements® brand. Previously, the company provided COVID-19 related clinical diagnostic and testing services, including polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing for COVID-19 and Influenza A and B, and rapid antigen testing for COVID-19, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, ProPhase Diagnostics, Inc. ProPhase Diagnostics operated two CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) certified laboratories located in Old Bridge, New Jersey, and Garden City, New York. ProPhase Labs owns the exclusive rights to the BE-Smart Esophageal Pre-Cancer diagnostics screening test and related intellectual property. This test aims for early detection of progression from Barrett's esophagus to esophageal adenocarcinoma. It is currently under development and has been tested by an independent lab, mProbe, Inc., on over 200 human samples. Initial data suggests potential for early detection of esophageal cancer risk, demonstrating accuracy and reproducibility, and identifying potential biomarkers. In March 2023, the company announced a collaboration with mProbe and Dr. Christopher Hartley of Mayo Clinic for the continued development of the BE-Smart test.
