The Company later acquired 3D Hubs, Inc ("Hubs") and launched the Protolabs Network, a global network of manufacturing partners ("MPs"). Proto Labs offers manufacturing capabilities through its owned manufacturing factories ("Factory") and a worldwide network of premium manufacturing partners ("Network"). Its automated quoting and manufacturing systems are integrated with its manufacturing and fulfillment systems, providing a variety of manufacturing technologies in diverse materials, lead times, and prices. Proto Labs utilizes artificial intelligence ("AI") to enhance efficiency and customer value, including intelligent pricing and sourcing algorithms, automated quality inspection in injection molding, toolpath verification in CNC machining, software development, and other AI end-use cases.
