The company operates through three segments: Pennsylvania Regulated Segment, Kentucky Regulated Segment, and Rhode Island Regulated Segment. PPL Electric, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PPL, provides electricity transmission and distribution services in eastern and central Pennsylvania and supplies electricity to retail customers as a Provider of Last Resort (PLR). LG&E, a wholly-owned subsidiary of LKE, is a regulated utility involved in the generation, transmission, distribution, and sale of electricity and natural gas in Kentucky.
