PIMCO Flexible Municipal Income Fund

PIMCO Flexible Municipal Income Fund is a non-diversified, closed-end management investment company that continuously offers its shares and operates as an "interval fund." The Fund's primary objective is to provide high current income that is exempt from federal income tax, with capital appreciation as a secondary objective. Under normal circumstances, the Fund invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in municipal bonds and other securities. The interest from these investments is expected to be exempt from federal income tax, based on the opinion of bond counsel for the issuer at the time of issuance or other reliable authority. The Fund may invest without limit in municipal bonds and other securities that are rated below investment grade (or unrated but deemed of comparable quality by PIMCO), and also in investment grade securities. It may also invest more than 25% of its total assets in bonds of issuers in California and New York. The Fund also expects to invest in a range of preferred securities, with an emphasis on those eligible for favorable federal income tax treatment on dividends.
