Plug is building an end-to-end clean hydrogen ecosystem, encompassing production, storage, delivery, and energy generation, to assist customers in achieving their business objectives and decarbonizing the economy. The company has established the first commercially viable market for hydrogen fuel cells, deploying over 74,000 fuel cell systems, primarily in material handling applications, and operating more than 275 fueling stations. Plug delivers its hydrogen solutions directly to customers and through joint venture partners across various environments, including material handling, supply chain and logistics, e-mobility, stationary power generation, and industrial applications. Plug provides a suite of vertically integrated, end-to-end hydrogen solutions tailored to individual customer needs. These solutions include hydrogen production equipment and the delivery of hydrogen fuel. Its offerings include fuel cells, which are electrochemical devices combining hydrogen and oxygen to produce electricity and heat without combustion. Plug offers stationary and mobility fuel cell products, in addition to serving the material handling industry where its fuel cells power forklifts, replacing lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries. Plug supports customers at multi-shift high volume manufacturing and high throughput distribution sites. The company also provides Proton exchange membrane ("PEM") electrolyzers, which use clean electricity to split water into hydrogen and oxygen, enabling customers to generate hydrogen for various applications. PEM technology offers high power density, low weight and volume, and operates at relatively low temperatures, allowing for quick startup and reduced system wear. Plug has constructed a gigafactory in Rochester, New York, to produce electrolyzer stacks. Additionally, Plug possesses expertise in hydrogen liquefiers, known for their operational efficiency, flexibility, and reliability.
