We are a novel ablation company focused on health innovation using our patented Nano-pulse Stimulation ("NPS") technology. This technology, also known as Nanosecond Pulsed-Field Ablation ("nsPFA") technology, delivers nanosecond-duration electrical pulses, each less than a millionth of a second long, to nonthermally clear or kill targeted cells. We developed and commercialized our proprietary nPulse System (formerly CellFX), an nsPFA delivery platform, initially for treating benign skin lesions. We have also designed various applicators, including devices for open surgical procedures, endoscopic or minimally invasive procedures, and endoluminal catheters, which have been used in preclinical studies to explore applications in cardiology, gastroenterology, gynecology, and otolaryngology. In 2022, we decided to primarily focus on using nsPFA energy and the nPulse platform to treat atrial fibrillation, a condition diagnosed in approximately 1.9 million patients annually in the United States. This represents a greater than $3.0 billion addressable market within electrophysiology. We are also pursuing atrial fibrillation treatment via a surgical approach and other markets like surgical soft tissue ablation. Our first product for soft tissue ablation in a surgical setting is the nPulse Vybrance Percutaneous Electrode System, which includes a disposable, percutaneous needle electrode for use with our nPulse Console. This electrode is designed to deliver nsPFA energy for precise nonthermal removal of cellular tissue without inducing thermal necrosis.
