Perma-Fix Environmental Services, Inc. is a nuclear services company and a provider of nuclear and mixed waste management services. Incorporated in December 1990 in Delaware, the company's nuclear waste services include the treatment and management of radioactive and mixed waste, which contains both hazardous and low-level radioactive waste. Its nuclear services group offers project management, environmental restoration, decontamination and decommissioning ("D&D"), new build construction, and radiological protection, safety, and industrial hygiene ("IH") capabilities to clients. The company develops solutions through its research and development ("R&D") laboratories located within its licensed and permitted waste treatment facilities. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, the company also pursues waste projects in Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and countries in the European Union ("EU"). For international customers, waste treatment is performed in its U.S. treatment facilities and returned to the international customers. In 2025, the company generated modest consolidated revenue growth year-over-year, with improvements in gross profit and operating performance driven by a rebound in its Treatment Segment. The Treatment Segment benefited from higher waste volumes and a higher averaged price waste mix, including increased revenue from international and commercial clients. The Services Segment experienced lower revenue due to project mobilization and procurement delays resulting from changes initiated by the current presidential administration starting in January 2025 and supporting policies in the first half of 2025. A partial federal government shutdown effective October 1, 2025, also negatively affected revenue by impacting procurement timing cycles.
