Pro-Dex, Inc. designs, develops, and manufactures autoclavable, battery-powered, and electric, multi-function surgical drivers and shavers. These products are primarily used in the orthopedic, thoracic, and craniomaxillofacial (CMF) markets. The company utilizes patented adaptive torque-limiting technology and proprietary sealing solutions. Its primary customers are medical device distributors. Pro-Dex also offers engineering, quality, and regulatory consulting services. Additionally, it manufactures and sells rotary air motors to various industries, though these motors represent a de minimis portion of its business. Beginning in fiscal 2026, Pro-Dex expanded into selling precision machined parts and assemblies for the aerospace and defense industries through its newly acquired subsidiary, Advanced Precision Machining, LLC (APM). APM, located in Costa Mesa, California, manufactures some of Pro-Dex's machined sub-assemblies and also serves as a Prime Contractor for the U.S. Government, maintaining registrations under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and a Joint Certification Program (JCP) certification. Pro-Dex was incorporated in Colorado in 1994. In August 2020, it formed PDEX Franklin, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary, to hold title for an approximate 25,000 square foot industrial building in Tustin, California, acquired on November 6, 2020, to support business growth. PDEX Franklin has no separate operations. The company's principal headquarters are located at 2361 McGaw Avenue, Irvine, California 92614.
