Oura Health Oy is an international health technology company known for the Oura Ring, a smart ring that tracks sleep and physical activity. The company was founded in Oulu, Finland, in 2013 by Petteri Lahtela, Kari Kivelä, and Markku Koskela. Harpreet Singh Rai served as CEO from 2018 to 2021, followed by interim CEO Michael Chapp. In 2022, Tom Hale was appointed CEO. Oura Health Oy's current headquarters are in San Francisco, United States, with additional locations in Oulu and Helsinki, Finland, and San Diego, United States. Prior to 2022, the company's headquarters were in Oulu. The first-generation Oura Ring was introduced via Kickstarter in 2016 and officially launched at the Slush tech conference in 2017.
