This includes wireless, wireline/fiber, and power delivery infrastructure, such as transmission, distribution, grid hardening and modernization, and environmental planning and compliance. The company also works on power generation infrastructure, mainly from clean energy and renewable sources; pipeline infrastructure for natural gas, water, and carbon capture sequestration, along with pipeline integrity services; heavy civil and industrial infrastructure like roads, bridges, and rail; and environmental remediation services. MasTec's customers are primarily in these industries. The company, including its predecessor companies, has been in business for over 95 years. As of December 31, 2025, MasTec had approximately 36,000 employees and 810 locations. Services are offered under the MasTec® and other service marks. The company is ranked among the top five contractors within Engineering News-Record's Top 400 Contractors. MasTec provides integrated, solutions-based services to a diversified customer base, with a significant portion of services provided under generally multi-year master service and other service agreements. Other work is generated through contracts for specific projects requiring the construction or installation of an entire infrastructure system or specified units within one. In 2021, MasTec began a transformation of its end-market business operations to focus on the nation's transition to low-carbon energy sources, which involved expanding its scale and capacity in renewable energy, power delivery, heavy civil, and telecommunications services.
