Matrix Service Company provides engineering, fabrication, construction, and maintenance services for critical energy infrastructure and industrial markets. The company began operations in 1984 as Matrix Service in Oklahoma and incorporated in Delaware in 1989 as Matrix Service Company, starting NASDAQ trading in 1990. It maintains regional offices across the United States, Canada, and other international locations, operating through separate union and non-union subsidiaries. Matrix Service Company operates through three reportable segments. The Storage and Terminal Solutions segment offers integrated engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, alongside repair, maintenance, and fabrication for bulk liquid, cryogenic, and refrigerated storage and terminal facilities. These facilities support traditional and emerging energy markets, including LNG, NGLs, petroleum products, chemicals, hydrogen, and ammonia. This segment also manufactures and sells specialty, precision-engineered tank products such as geodesic domes, aluminum internal floating roofs, floating suction and skimmer systems, roof drain systems, and floating roof seals. The Utility and Power Infrastructure segment delivers construction, maintenance, upgrades, and fabrication services for power generation facilities and power infrastructure systems. Its customers include public and private utilities, energy producers, and data centers.
