Materion Corporation is an integrated producer of high-performance advanced engineered materials, generating $1.8 billion in net sales in 2025. Incorporated in Ohio in 1931, the company's materials are used in electrical, electronic, thermal, and structural applications across various end markets, including semiconductor, industrial, aerospace and defense, automotive, energy, consumer electronics, and life sciences. The company operates through four reportable segments: Performance Materials, Electronic Materials, Precision Optics, and Other. The Other segment includes unallocated corporate costs. The Performance Materials segment delivers advanced engineered solutions, including beryllium and non-beryllium alloy systems and custom engineered metal solutions. These are produced as strip, bulk, rod, plate, bar, tube, and specialized custom shapes at manufacturing facilities in the United States and Europe, and sold through global distribution hubs. This segment operates the world's largest bertrandite ore mine and refinery in Utah, which supplies feedstock hydroxide for its beryllium businesses and external sales. Performance Materials also offers engineering and product development services globally, assisting customers with product design and providing prototype parts and data. This segment is organized into three global product lines: Advanced Alloys, Specialty Materials, and Performance Solutions. Advanced Alloys manufactures and globally supplies three upstream product lines: alloyed metals, high-performance beryllium products, and beryllium hydroxide. Alloyed metals, made with copper and/or nickel (with or without beryllium), are available in ingot, shot, billet, plate, rod, bar, tube forms, and customized shapes. These materials offer benefits such as superior strength, specific strength, wear and corrosion resistance, thermal and electrical conductivity, tribological benefits, and machinability, depending on the application.
