Maison Solutions Inc. is a fast-growing specialty grocery retailer that offers traditional Asian food and merchandise to U.S. consumers, particularly those in Asian-American communities. The company provides Asian fresh produce, meat, seafood, and other daily necessities. Maison Solutions operates a center-satellite stores network. Since its formation in July 2019, the company has acquired equity interests in six traditional Asian supermarkets. Three of these are located in Los Angeles, California, and three are in the greater Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona metro areas. These six supermarkets operate as center stores, which are full-service stores similar to traditional supermarkets, each with its own storage space to distribute products to satellite stores. These center stores target traditional Asian-American family-oriented customers with a variety of meat, fresh produce, and other merchandise, while also stocking items that appeal to the broader community. In December 2021, Maison Solutions acquired a 10% equity interest in a new grocery store in Alhambra, California, referred to as the "Alhambra Store." The company intends to acquire the remaining 90% equity interest in the Alhambra Store, which is planned to be its first satellite store. Satellite stores in the network are designed to penetrate local communities and neighborhoods with larger and growing concentrations of younger customers.
