It delivers an 80 mg dose via an on-body infusor over five hours and is indicated for treating edema in pediatric patients weighing at least 43 kg and adults with chronic heart failure or chronic kidney disease. It is the first FDA-approved subcutaneous loop diuretic providing intravenous-equivalent diuresis at home. V-Go is a mechanical basal-bolus insulin delivery system worn like a patch, eliminating the need for multiple daily injections. It administers a continuous preset basal insulin rate over 24 hours and offers discreet on-demand bolus dosing at mealtimes. V-Go received 510(k) clearance from the FDA in 2010 and has been commercially available since 2012.
