LA-Z-BOY INC is a leading global producer of reclining chairs and one of the largest manufacturers/distributors of residential furniture in the United States. The company was incorporated in Michigan in 1941 as La-Z-Boy Chair Company, changing its name to La-Z-Boy Incorporated in 1996. Its La-Z-Boy brand is a recognized brand in the furniture industry. LA-Z-BOY INC manufactures, markets, imports, exports, distributes, and retails upholstery furniture products under the La-Z-Boy®, England, and Joybird® tradenames. Additionally, it imports, distributes, and retails accessories and casegoods (wood) furniture products under the Hammary® and Joybird® tradenames. During fiscal 2026, the company also imported, distributed, and retailed accessories and casegoods (wood) furniture products under the Kincaid® and American Drew® tradenames. Following the sale of certain assets of the Kincaid® and American Drew® wholesale businesses on May 29, 2026, LA-Z-BOY INC continues to retail such products. The La-Z-Boy Stores retail network is the second largest retailer of single-branded furniture in the United States. As of April 25, 2026, its supply chain operations included four major manufacturing locations and 9 distribution centers in the United States, and three facilities in Mexico. It also operates a logistics company distributing a portion of its products in the United States, a wholesale sales office for product distribution in the United Kingdom and Ireland, and a global trading company in Hong Kong managing its Asian supply chain. During fiscal 2026, the company also operated an upholstery manufacturing business in the United Kingdom.
