LanzaTech, founded in 2005 in New Zealand and headquartered in Skokie, Illinois, provides carbon management and advanced conversion technologies. The company focuses on transforming waste materials into high-value fuels, chemicals, and critical industrial inputs. Its core offering is gas fermentation, a proprietary process that uses locally-sourced waste streams and existing infrastructure to convert off-gases into valuable commodities. This process, conducted on existing industrial land, utilizes an adaptive biological system with specialized microbes to convert feedstock gases into ethanol and its derivatives. This fermentation platform is designed for operational flexibility and reliability, handling variable feedstock compositions and ensuring continuous output. LanzaTech's scalable carbon capture and utilization (CCU) technology enables industrial, municipal, and agricultural partners globally to convert emissions into marketable products.
