Centrus Energy Corp. is a trusted supplier of nuclear fuel components and provides enrichment and technical services for the nuclear power industry. The company operates two business segments: LEU and Technical Solutions. The LEU segment supplies various components of nuclear fuel to commercial customers from a global network of suppliers, providing most of the company's revenue. This segment primarily involves the sale of LEU, the fissile component of nuclear fuel, to utilities operating commercial nuclear power plants. The majority of these sales are for the enrichment component of LEU, measured in SWU. Centrus also sells natural uranium hexafluoride, and occasionally uranium concentrates, uranium conversion, or LEU with combined natural uranium hexafluoride and SWU components. The LEU segment's backlog includes medium and long-term sales contracts and contingent sales commitments with major utilities through 2040. The Technical Solutions segment provides advanced uranium enrichment for the nuclear industry and the U.S. government, alongside advanced manufacturing and other technical services to government and private sector customers. Current uranium enrichment involves HALEU production and other capabilities for advanced nuclear fuel to power existing and next-generation reactors globally. Centrus supplies LEU and its components to both domestic and international utilities for use in nuclear reactors worldwide, sourcing from medium- and long-term supply contracts, spot purchases, and inventory.
