We are a late-stage clinical biopharmaceutical company focused on developing cell therapies for patients with autoimmune diseases. Our lead product candidate is mivocabtagene autoleucel, or miv-cel (also known as KYV-101), an anti-CD19 autologous CAR T with a differentiated CAR construct. We have experience treating more than 100 autoimmune patients with miv-cel, documented through scientific publications of autoimmune case studies, our proprietary dataset from compassionate use, ongoing investigator-initiated trials (IITs) at academic institutions, and early clinical data from our company-sponsored trials. These therapies aim to deeply deplete B cells to achieve durable treatment-free remission. Miv-cel is an autologous, fully human CD19-targeting CAR T-cell product candidate designed for potency and tolerability in autoimmune diseases. The underlying chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) for miv-cel is licensed from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This CAR includes a fully human scFv domain, a human CD8α hinge and transmembrane domain, a human CD28 costimulatory domain, and a human CD3ζ activation domain. The same underlying CAR in miv-cel completed a 20-patient Phase 1 clinical trial in oncology conducted by the NIH. Results from this trial, published in Nature Medicine, reported similar rates of durable antitumor responses and improved tolerability in adult oncology patients compared to the CAR used to create Yescarta®.
