Kura Oncology, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company focused on precision medicines for cancer treatment. Its pipeline comprises small molecules designed to target cancer signaling pathways. On November 13, 2025, the FDA approved Kura Oncology, Inc.'s new drug application for ziftomenib, marketed in the United States as KOMZIFTI™, for adults with relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML) with a susceptible nucleophosmin 1 (NPM1) mutation who lack satisfactory alternative treatment options. KOMZIFTI is the first and only menin inhibitor approved by the FDA for once-daily oral administration. Kura Oncology, Inc. is further evaluating ziftomenib across the AML treatment continuum, including in relapsed or refractory and newly diagnosed disease, and in patient subtypes representing up to 50% of AML cases. The clinical development program includes two registrational Phase 3 clinical trials of ziftomenib in combination with intensive and non-intensive chemotherapy in patients with newly diagnosed AML. Multiple clinical trials are also underway for ziftomenib in combination with standards of care in patients with relapsed or refractory and newly diagnosed AML with NPM1 and FLT3 co-mutations. Beyond AML, ziftomenib is being evaluated in combination with imatinib for gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST). The company is also exploring KO-7246, a next-generation menin inhibitor, for diabetes and cardiometabolic disorders, and additional next-generation menin inhibitors for use in combination with other therapies in solid tumors. Furthermore, Kura Oncology, Inc. is evaluating farnesyl transferase inhibitors (FTIs) in combination with various targeted therapies to address mechanisms of adaptive and innate resistance in solid tumor treatment.
