Koss Corporation designs, manufactures, and sells stereo headphones and related accessory products within the audio/video industry segment of the home entertainment and communication industry. Incorporated in Delaware in 1971, the Company operates globally through its subsidiaries, Koss Corp B.V. and Koss U.K. Limited, which were established to meet European Union and U.K. requirements, respectively. Koss Corporation reports its financial results as a single business segment, reflecting its sole focus on personal listening devices. The Company's products are sold under the "Koss" brand and as private label items through a diverse network of channels. These include U.S. and international distributors, audio specialty stores, the internet, national retailers, grocery stores, electronics retailers, and prisons. Koss also supplies products to distributors for resale to school systems and directly to other manufacturers for inclusion with their own products. International markets are supported by domestic sales representatives and personnel located in the Netherlands and the Caucasus region, in addition to independent distributors in various foreign countries. In fiscal year 2025, approximately 84% of Koss Corporation's sales came from stereo headphones primarily used for music listening. The remaining approximately 16% of sales were from headphones used in communications, educational settings, with metal detectors, and sold to original equipment manufacturers (OEM). The Company sources complete stereo headphones manufactured to its specifications from various Asian manufacturers and produces stereo headphones from raw materials at its plant in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
