Kelly is a staffing company founded in 1946. The company provides staffing solutions and has evolved its offerings to meet changing employer and talent needs. In 1996, Kelly established the industry's first Managed Service Provider ("MSP") program. By 1999, the company launched specialized offerings in engineering, information technology, and education. In 2020, Kelly introduced a new operating model with five specialty business units: Kelly Professional & Industrial ("P&I"), Kelly Science, Engineering & Technology ("SET"), Kelly Education, KellyOCG ("Outsourcing & Consulting" or "OCG"), and Kelly International. To enhance specialization in higher margin, higher growth areas, Kelly pursued inorganic growth in SET, Education, and OCG. The company monetized non-core assets, including Persol Holdings Co., Ltd. in 2022 and EMEA staffing operations in 2024, and redeployed capital to complete strategic acquisitions. These acquisitions include Teachers On Call, Global Technology Associates ("GTA"), NextGen, Greenwood/Asher & Associates, Softworld, RocketPower, Pediatric Therapeutic Services ("PTS"), Motion Recruitment Partners ("MRP"), and Children's Therapy Center ("CTC"). Beginning in 2023, Kelly implemented a business transformation initiative to improve structural efficiency and profitability.
