Bitfarms is a North American digital and energy infrastructure company that develops, owns, and operates data centers and energy infrastructure for high-performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI) workloads. The company was founded in 2017 and is publicly traded on the Nasdaq and TSX under the ticker symbol "BITF". Bitfarms currently maintains legacy North American Bitcoin Mining operations to help fund its operations and development efforts. The company's mission is to deliver the infrastructure and energy required to support HPC and AI workloads. Bitfarms' Infrastructure Assets include owned and operated power generation facilities with collocated Bitcoin Mining data centers, established grid interconnections within the wholesale electricity market administered by PJM Interconnection in Pennsylvania, and 100% renewable hydroelectric capacity in Canada and Washington state. These Infrastructure Assets represent a 2.2 GW power capacity pipeline, comprising 648 MW of secured capacity and 1,513 MW of planned capacity in development, located across U.S. Sites and Québec Sites. Currently, these assets are deployed to support Bitcoin Mining activities. Bitfarms is developing its Infrastructure Assets to support HPC data center operations and expects to continue this development in the coming years. HPC Infrastructure is the primary growth area for the company. Bitfarms expects to operate its Bitcoin Mining assets as long as they remain profitable and until they are decommissioned to facilitate HPC data center construction.
