Iveda Solutions, Inc. provides Internet of Things (IoT) hardware and video surveillance solutions. The company was incorporated in Nevada in June 2006. Iveda was an early provider of cloud hosting for streaming and recorded video from security cameras and offered real-time remote surveillance services with intervention specialists monitoring customer cameras 24/7. In April 2011, Iveda acquired the Taiwan-based company Sole-Vision Technologies, which operates as Iveda Taiwan. Historically, Iveda sold and installed video surveillance equipment for security and operational efficiencies, providing video hosting, in-vehicle streaming video, archiving, and real-time remote surveillance services. While initially using off-the-shelf camera systems, Iveda now sources its own cameras from manufacturers in Taiwan to offer IP cameras and Network Video Recorders (NVRs) based on customer specifications, while still utilizing ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) cameras. In 2014, Iveda shifted its business model from direct project-based sales to selling IoT hardware to service providers such as telecommunications companies, integrators, and other technology resellers. This allows service providers to leverage their existing infrastructure to sell, bill, and provide customer service for Iveda's products. Iveda Taiwan, the subsidiary in Taiwan, specializes in deploying new and integrating existing video surveillance systems for airports, commercial buildings, government customers, data centers, shopping centers, hotels, banks, and Safe City initiatives.
