Ituran Location and Control Ltd., along with its subsidiaries, provides location-based telematics services and machine-to-machine telematics products. The Telematics Services segment offers stolen vehicle recovery and tracking services, enabling the location, tracking, and recovery of stolen vehicles. It also provides fleet management services for corporate and individual customers to track and manage vehicles in real time, and locator services to protect valuable merchandise and equipment. This segment delivers on-demand navigation guidance, information, and assistance, including traffic reports, directions, and information on gas stations, car repair shops, post offices, hospitals, and other facilities. Additionally, it offers connected car services, which include a back-office application, an in-vehicle telematics device, mobile apps for IOS and Android users, and an interface using the car infotainment screen. Usage-based insurance and auto financing services are also provided. Customers include insurance companies and agents, car manufacturers, dealers and importers, cooperative sales channels, and private subscribers. The Telematics Products segment provides a system for automatic vehicle location based on terrestrial network triangulation technology and GPS/GPRS. It also offers a control center, which is software used to collect data from base sites, perform location calculations, and transmit data to customers and law enforcement agencies. This segment includes GPS/GPRS navigation and tracking devices installed in vehicles, and SMART, a portable transmitter installed in vehicles that sends a signal to a base site for locating vehicles, equipment, or individuals. The company was incorporated in 1994 and is headquartered in Azour, Israel.
