We are a biotechnology company that develops cell therapy products for autoimmune diseases, including type 1 diabetes (T1D), and cancer. Our beta islet, T cell, and NK cell programs use allogeneic cells, meaning they are derived from healthy donors for use in any patient. We focus on induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), which can self-renew indefinitely and differentiate into any cell type, allowing for genetic editing, consistent reproducibility, and scalable manufacturing. Our allogeneic cell therapy platform includes: * iPSCs and expertise in differentiating them into fully functional mature cells. * CRISPR-mediated precision gene editing to incorporate multiple transgenes and disrupt target genes to optimize cell product performance. * Our proprietary Allo-Evasion™ technology, designed to prevent the host immune system from rejecting our cell products, potentially allowing for persistence and re-dosing. * Manufacturing capabilities aimed at achieving scale advantages and reducing the cost of goods sold (COGs), while minimizing product development and supply risk. We use our expertise in cellular reprogramming, differentiation, genetic engineering, and manufacturing to develop therapies. We can generate various cell types from iPSCs, including iPSC-derived beta islet cells, iPSC-derived CD4+ and CD8+ ab T cells (ab iT cells), and iPSC-natural killer cells (iNK cells).
